THE seasons seem to be flying by faster every year, and before we know it Christmas will be upon us.
A great place to start shopping for gifts (or just to treat yourself!) is the Willow Wood Winter Fete on Saturday, November 18.
Open between 11am and 5pm there’ll be handcrafted gifts, cards, jewellery, bags, scarves, toys and more. Hot food will be available both from Sheila’s famous barbeque and from the highly regarded restaurant, and if you just want a quick pick-me-up, how about a slice of delicious cake and an Irish coffee?
If you’re bringing the children along, not only is entry free for U12s, but they’ll be able to pay their first visit of the year to Santa’s Grotto.
Entry for adults and older children is just £2, and this includes a free ticket into the hamper draw.
There’ll also be the opportunity to take a turn round the Hospice gardens which will come to life at sunset with the very first switch-on of their Garden of a Thousand Lights by the Civic Mayor of Tameside, Cllr Joyce Bowerman, and this promises to be really spectacular.
In addition, there’ll be information on our other events, so you could make a Light Up A Life dedication in memory of a loved one, buy a raffle ticket for the chance to win £7,500, or find out a bit more about next year’s fundraising calendar.
Alternatively of course you could just treat yourself to a statement necklace!
Whatever you decide, Willow Wood looks forward to welcoming you through its doors for the 2017 Winter Fete.
