AN appeal for volunteers, stewards and lantern makers has been made as Mossley’s second annual Light Festival draws closer.
Organisers Global Grooves are keen to improve on last year’s spectacular debut but need the town’s support to help them succeed.
That’s why they want to supplement their volunteer events crew with more members.
Roles include: parade crew, volunteer producers, site managers, artist liaison, riggers and marshalls.
A one day training event is taking place on Saturday, November 11 between 10am and 5pm alongside some of the industry’s most experienced arts and events managers.
Following the training day, all crew will need to attend a final crew briefing on the Thursday, November 23 between 6-9pm where roles will be allocated and a full site visit arranged.
All crew will then be needed at specific times between 12noon and 8pm on the day of the event.
Training plus full crew briefing will take place at the Vale Community Arts Centre, Unit 2, Vale Mill, Micklehurst Road, Mossley, OL5 9JL.
Light refreshments will be provided on training and event days. Travel costs will be reimbursed if applicable.
