Band brings sweet music with colourful twist during football game

IT WAS like sweet music watching Mossley on Saturday in their Evo Stik League, first division match against Lancaster City.

Not only did the Lilywhites win 2-0, but fans were also treated to a musical accompaniment during the game at Seel Park.

Match sponsor Chris Hey, owner of Total Rope Solutions, invited guests to the game including three members of the Ashton championship section brass band who took along their musical instruments.

It was colourful as you can see with Nigel Lawless on a distinctive pink trombone, Jason Smith with his red cornet and Mark Armitage on trumpet.

As some fans remarked it’s a pity they don’t come to every game as they brightened up the afternoon with the entertainment they provided from the terraces.
