START UP businesses are getting a boost from a new support service across Tameside.
Start Up Support and Social Enterprise Development in Tameside (SUSSED IT) is a local partnership between New Charter Homes and Inspire Consultant (Dukinfield) Limited aimed at helping people who are looking to set up their own businesses.
The successful launch event of SUSSED IT took place on January 17, which was free and open to all who are looking at setting up their own businesses.
The event took place at New Charter Homes head office on Cavendish Street, with guest speakers including Pride of Tameside business award winner – entrepreneur of the year – Wayne Coyle from Tropical Palms, Janine Richardson from Manchester Business Growth Hub and Judi Kelly from Inspire Consultant (Dukinfield) Limited.
The partnership provides one-to-one support and advice from the initial business idea right through to marketing and funding.
Wayne said: “I feel very privileged to be involved in this event, supporting people starting out with businesses in Tameside.
“I’m hoping by sharing my own journey with Tropical Palms it will show people what can be achieved.
“Having set Tropical Palms up five years ago with just four sunbeds, it has now grown into a multi award-winning organisation that delivers national diplomas in hair and barbering in partnership with local colleges.”
The team at SUSSED IT is available by appointment and can work flexibly to suit your needs.
If you have a business idea you would like to discuss, they are available to provide advice and guidance for anyone considering starting up a business, self-employment including social enterprise in 2018.
