Mossley Hollins pupils quiz MPs during special International Women’s Day session

PROMINENT local MPs Jonathan Reynolds and Angela Rayner visited Mossley Hollins High School on Friday, March 9 as part of International Women’s Day.

The politicians, both members of the Labour Party shadow cabinet, both addressed 60 year 9/10 pupils on the day from a male and female perspective.

They each spoke for six minutes and then were grilled by students in a hugely entertaining Q&A.

Pupils asked the MPs for their views on Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, US President Donald Trump, the origins of International Women’s Day, disparity in pay between men and women and does academic qualifications affect opportunities.
