A TREASURE trove of balloons, card and gifts can be found at Ballooniversal, which is new to Mossley high street.
It is a well-established business having been in Dukinfield for the last five years.
Emma Wood, who lives in Mossley with husband Sebastian and their three children, hankered after a move closer to home.
And when a prime spot became available at the junction connecting Top and Bottom Mossley, Emma seized the moment to relocate.
Emma, a former mental health nurse, describes Ballooniversal as a “niche shop” and has been delighted with the feedback so far as it has attracted new custom as well as retaining business from Dukinfield.
Ballooniversal, as its name implies, stocks a vast assortment of balloons that can be personalised.
And Emma, who took over the business 18 months ago from Sebastian who founded it, also offers a wide selection of partywear and other items such as bath bombs, candle wax melts, room sprays and cards.
Emma has found personalised gifts are particularly popular and that is one area she is looking to expand.
Best sellers include a shopping bag featuring the slogan ‘I’m terribly posh, I’m from Mossley’ and a Mossley mug.
Emma had a range of personalised gifts to mark the Royal Wedding while the next major event will be Father’s Day when she will be able to offer a range of items that are different to traditional presents.
Emma is keen to become involved in community events and has already discussed ideas with the Mossley town mayor.
