Mossley maintain fine start to season against Kendal Town

Report by Gary Carter

MOSSLEY’S fine start to the season was maintained with a convincing win over Kendal Town.

And Max Leonard’s excellent form shows no signs of stopping as he netted his seventh goal in eight games!

Logan Jeffs’ first ever goal for the Lilywhites put them on the road to success from a well-worked set piece move.

And Leonard finished off a flowing passage of play involving Adam Latham and Mason Duffy.

Latham raced down the left flank and pulled the ball back to Duffy, whose cross was then flicked home by Leonard.

Mossley’s win was not without a fright but goalkeeper Johny Diba-Musangu pulled off two fine saves to make sure Mossley stayed clear.

Now with 13 points from six matches in the Evo-Stik League West Division, the Seel Park side is well placed for a promotion push.
