DAVE Wild hopes the town can get behind Mossley’s FA Cup quest when they embark on the next stage of the journey.
And should the Lilywhites win, the £9,000 prize money will go down very nicely.
Mossley take on fellow Evo-Stik League West Division side Kidsgrove Athletic at Seel Park tomorrow.
If the league table is anything to go by, it promises to be a tight affair as Mossley sit in fourth with Staffordshire-based Kidsgrove seventh.
But joint-manager Wild hopes a partisan crowd and a good atmosphere can prove the difference.
He said: “The top and bottom of it is home advantage.
“It’s quite a good, little non-league ground at Seel Park and we’ve started really well there, so hopefully the community and the crowd can be behind us and roar us through into the next round.
“We’re pretty much bang on in terms of wins, draws and losses this season and I feel it should be a feally good, close, exciting encounter.”
A Mossley win will put them just two wins from the FA cup’s first round proper and will boost the coffers by £9,000.
And any money that does come in from success will be used to hopefully bring more to Seel Park in future.
Wild added: “If we pull it off, it will be fantastic for the club. We’re under no illusions what it would do for the club of Mossley’s size, or anyone left in it at our level.
“Any money we get will be put to good use.”
