BOLLARDS have been installed outside a store that saw motorists often park on double yellow lines, making a main road tricky to negotiate.
People were complaining at the number of vehicles left on both sides of Huddersfield Road outside the Raja’s shop in Carrbrook.
Now concrete posts have been put in on both sides of the road in a bid to stamp out what was becoming a problem.
Tameside councillor Clive Patrick, who lives in Carrbrook, is delighted they have been put in.
He said: “Absolutely marvellous. It has been an accident waiting to happen with cars and delivery vans parked on double yellow line.
“I am on record asking why won’t people walk a few steps from the shop’s car park instead of putting lives in danger.”
