Teenager charged after man was stabbed in Hurst Cross

A teenager has been charged after a man was stabbed in Ashton-under-Lyne.

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent and aggravated vehicle taking.

He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Monday 28 January 2019).

Shortly before 11pm on Friday 25 January 2019, police were called to a report of a stabbing on Kings Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
