Celebrate Chinese New Year in Mossley

CELEBRATE the Chinese New Year at The Lighthouse, Stamford Street, Mossley.

Volunteer Jie Qi is giving the public the chance to make Chinese New Year lanterns and hear her talk.

The lantern making takes place on Tuesday, February 5 between 11am and 3pm each day. Just pop along between those times.

She is giving a talk entitled ‘Chinese New Year compared with the Jewish Passover’ on Tuesday, February 5 between 3pm and 4pm.

Jie Qi, a retired university research scientist, was raised in China and is interested in introducing Chinese culture to the local community.

The Lighthouse is the outreach in the community for Mossley’s Cornerstone Church.
