There will be further rail disruption this weekend when there will no TransPennine Express train services between Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge, Huddersfield and Leeds from 4.30pm on Saturday and all-day Sunday for engineering works.
There will also be no services at Greenfield and Mossley between those times, but a replacement coach service will be in operation.
A revised timetable will be in operation between Leeds and Huddersfield, Manchester stations and Liverpool.
Coaches will replace trains between Huddersfield and Manchester Victoria via Stalybridge (two per hour).
Coaches will replace local train services between Marsden and Manchester Piccadilly. An hourly train service will operate between York and Liverpool Lime Street via Manchester Victoria (reduced frequency – usually two per hour).
An hourly train service will operate between Scarborough and Manchester Victoria and an hourly one between Middlesbrough and Marsden.
Hull to Manchester Piccadilly services will operate between Hull and Huddersfield only. Services to and from Newcastle will only operate hourly between York and Newcastle.
This means there will only be two TransPennine Express trains per hour between Manchester (Victoria) and Leeds (usually it is up to six).
