Amazing Space with Tameside Libraries

A SPACE themed fun morning took place at Mossley Library during the half-term holidays.

And the 22 youngsters who attended ‘Amazing Space’ had the chance to build their own rockets from recycled items.

They also made spaceships from reclaimed compact discs and aliens.

The workshop was put on by Oldham Play Action Group on behalf of Tameside Council.

Play worker Zoe Brierley said: “It was a really good turnout and the feedback we received was brilliant.

“We used recycled items to make the rockets and spaceships, items such as bottles, bottle tops, egg cartons and CDs.”
