MOSSLEY Community Fire Station has reached a notable landmark as it has celebrated the 30th birthday of its opening.
And to mark the anniversary an open day is to be held on Saturday, May 11 between 10am and 4pm.
It will be a trip down memory lane as ex-firefighters will be attending.
An exhibition is also being produced of old photographs of incidents attended over the last 30 years.
Mossley Town Mayor Cllr Irene Raddings will also be paying a visit.
Emergency service vehicles will be on hand to have a look over and there will also be a driving simulator to try out.
The Fire Service Museum and The Firefighters Charity will be among various stalls while refreshments will be available.
Firefighters will also use the day to promote free home safety checks and anyone wishing to use this service can contact 0800 555 815 to arrange a visit.
