EVER After Flooring recently rolled out an expansion programme at its Mossley premises.
Lee and Jodie Marsh, who founded the company three-and-a-half years ago, have taken over a unit adjoining their base at 7/9 New Scout Mill, Manchester Road.
It will be used as a base for internet sales which continues to expand as the public is opting more and more to buying online.
And by extending the warehouse the company, which is believed to be Tameside’s biggest on-site stockist, can expand further.
Lee said: “When we started the business we never envisaged it growing like it has done.
“The original idea was for Jodie and myself to have a little corner shop in Mossley.”
And by expanding, Jodie said: “We can stock more roll ends and clearance stock as well as more luxury carpets.
“We are able to offer more choice and by buying in bulk, can give more discounts and savings to the public.
As well as carpets, Ever After Flooring also offers an extensive range of vinyls and laminates.
And the extra storage space enables staff to cut carpets at its premises.
“It was all new to us and we didn’t know what to expect,” admitted Jodie who had previously worked in accounts, credit control and as a hairdresser.
“We didn’t think the business would grow as fast as it has done.”
Initially the company employed two fitters, but today it has 14 full-time staff and a couple more part time.
Ever After Flooring caters for every conceivable floor covering, from carpets and vinyls to laminates and engineered wood.
They are the only business in the area accredited for Moduleo luxury vinyl tiles, which come with a 20-year warranty from the manufacturer.
The warehouse secured lines of stock from manufacturers and wholesalers giving the public access to trade prices and below.
Ever After Flooring also sourced end of line stock from some of Europe’s largest carpet manufacturers, giving them the ability to supply the public at heavily discounted prices.
And as the majority of carpets and vinyl is in stock, customers can thoroughly check every inch of their desired carpet before buying, so they will know exactly what they are getting.
Jodie added: “A lot of people have worked out that, despite constant sales of up to 70 per-cent at some businesses, their floorings are still more expensive than ours.
“Here you get a good deal and we have found people still like to shop local and have a personal service that we can offer.”
Ever After Flooring has domestic and commercial customers, both locally and from further afield.
