KIND-HEARTED volunteers are being called to help the British Heart Foundation on their Heart Stars blockbuster weekend to raise money for life-saving research.

The charity is collaborating with Tesco stores across the country for the events on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8.They are looking for volunteers in Stalybridge who can help with bucket collections in the Tesco store for two hours over the two days.

Natalie Bunyan, a fundraising manager at BHF, said: “With donations from the public, the BHF funds ground-breaking research that will get us closer than ever to a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.

“We are backing the best ideas, the brightest minds and the biggest ambitions – because that’s how we’ll beat heartbreak forever.

“There are 320,000 people in Greater Manchester living with the daily burden of cardiovascular disease.

“The money raised by our volunteers will support lifesaving research to save and improve lives.”
The charity also offers support for those suffering with these diseases and provides information on treatments and the condition.
